Hello! I'm Gary, the maths specialist at AG Tutoring. As a passionate maths tutor and dedicated student of the prestigious A stream at Auckland Grammar School, I understand the challenges and joys of learning. My mission is to make maths understandable, enjoyable, and accessible for all students.

- 98% average across all Auckland Grammar School and External Cambridge Mathematics exams sat: 98% Yr 9, 97% Yr 10, 99% AS Pure, 96% AS Statistics
- 2-time national winner of the New Zealand Otago Maths Competition
- Qualified for the American Invitational Math Exam (AIME) with a high score from the AMC 10
- AGS A Stream throughout all 4 years of High School
- 2 years experience tutoring younger students in maths
Maths Courses
Intermediate (Year 6 to 9):
Intermediate and Junior
A mathematics course designed to introduce the basic maths concepts to your child, helping them start their academic journey.
Recommended for Years 4 to 7.
Senior (Year 8 to 12):
High School Fundamentals
A course that focuses on helping students with the often difficult and sudden transition from intermediate school to high school, and the teaching of crucial concepts and skills for Cambridge and NCEA curricula, as well as helping intermediate school students prepare for High School or the AGS entrance exma. Recommended for Years 8 to 10.
Pre-Q, IGCSE, and NCEA Level 1
A specialised course that is dedicated to helping students achieve their best results in their first set of examinations in their academic journey. The Pre-Q/IGCSE/NCEA level 1 syllabi will be covered, along with vital examination skills and strategies.
Recommended for Years 10 to 11.
Cambridge AS and NCEA Level 2
A specialised course that focuses on helping students excel in their AS or NCEA level 2 examinations. Students can expect to be challenged and tested on a regular basis.
Recommended for Years 11 to 12.
