Primary (Year 4 to 6):
Primary English
Saturday 11:00am-12:00am
A specialised english course for primary school students. This course is focused on the fundamental grammar structures and skills in english, and is extremely useful for ICAS preparation.
Intermediate (Year 7 to 8):
AGS Entrance Exam Preparation or High School Preparation
Sunday 3:30pm-4:30pm
An english course dedicated to securing your child a place in the prestigious A stream at Auckland Grammar School, or simply to gain an advantage for harsh high school curricula. This course involves an introduction to essay writing and skills in analysing texts.
Senior (Year 9 to 12):
Junior English Skills
Sunday 5:00-6:00pm
This course helps to set in stone the foundations of the study of English in the high school curriculum. Topics covered include literacy, comprehension, and basic essay writing skills.
Recommended for Years 9 to 10.
Advanced Essay Writing (AS + NCEA L2)
Sunday 2:00-3:00pm
This course is tailored towards the Cambridge AS and NCEA level 2 curricula, helping students score outstanding marks in these examinations through an integration of complex thought and higher level philosophical notions into their theses.
Recommended for Years 11 to 12.
